A distinguished, wondrous plant. The fleshy, blue-green leaves are spirally arranged on the stems. Deep purple to navy blue tubular flowers emerge at the tips: bees love them! When sown early, it behaves as an annual; in the greenhouse, it can also be sown in September for biennial cultivation. Height 30-45 cm. Give them little fertilizer, a sunny spot, and no extra water; this enhances their colour.
