Miniature cabbages with long stems (60-80 cm), which decoratively adorn an autumn or winter bouquet. As cut flowers, they are very strong, but these cabbages on stems also look beautiful in the garden. The cabbages are pleated and curled in a wine-red colour with blue-green outer leaves. At a planting distance of 15x15 cm, you get beautiful, small cabbages; a wider spacing yields larger "blooms".
Ornamental cabbage or decorative cabbage is best in late summer to autumn (extending into winter), so do not sow too early. These beautifully coloured cabbages originated in Japan and are a colourful addition to our gardens or pots! Briefly cooked or stir-fried, they are a colourful addition to dishes. Their mild flavour has long been appreciated in Asian cuisine! Small-diameter cabbages that grow on long stems. Very popular as cut foliage. Plant them 15x15cm for small cabbages and wider for a larger head. This amounts to 49-81 plants per m². Stem length 60-80cm. Harvestable after 4-5 months.
