Begonia semperflorens 'Summer Rainbow' F2

  • Product number: 508010
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Begonia semperflorens

A broad mix of rather low-growing plants. An F2 mixture lacks the top quality of an F1, but is much more economical and performs very well in the garden! This well-known, free-flowering plant is suitable for the garden, window boxes or indoors. An ideal semi-shade to shade grower. Sow early!

Names:
Latin: Begonia semperflorens
Dutch: Kleine Begonia

Sowing method: January-May. Sow in cocopeat with silver sand. Seeds germinate quickly, keep evenly moist (not wet) at ± 20°C. Do not cover these fine seeds, but press lightly. One or a few days after sowing, the seedlings can be placed in full light for at least 10 hours, as they are light germinators. Immediately after emergence, place in light and in cooler conditions.
