Sowing method: April-June directly into the garden soil. First, rake the soil well to a fine tilth, then scatter the seeds (possibly mixed with dry sand) evenly and lightly rake them in. Finally, press down with a plank, hand, or roller. Pre-sowing and transplanting is also an option. The more space the plants have, the more side branches and higher the main stem they will develop. For cut flowers, it is beneficial to sow or plant densely: this results in many manageable inflorescences. All varieties turn bronze to brown upon ripening (in autumn).
