Sowing method: April-June directly into the garden soil. First, rake the soil until it is fine, then evenly scatter the seeds (possibly mixed with dry sand) and lightly rake them in. Finally, press down with a board, hand, or roller. Pre-sowing and transplanting is also an option. The more space the plants have, the more side branches and the taller the main stem will be. For cut flowers, it is worthwhile to sow or plant densely: this results in many manageable inflorescences. All varieties turn bronze to brown upon ripening (in autumn).
