A whole new colour in the amaranth family: first golden yellow, then ripening to copper or bronze. A very strong cut and dried flower, growing on colossal stems of 150-200 cm in length. The flower clusters grow upright and are an eldorado for birds!
As with other members of the Amaranthus genus, the tender leaves of especially young plants can be eaten as spinach. When flower clusters ripen, the seeds can be harvested: very healthy (for example, popped in the oven at 130°C) in muesli. The newly germinating seeds (sprouts) are also healthy and nutritious. The seeds can also be baked into bread or cooked with rice.
