Sowing method: April-June directly into the soil. First, rake the soil thoroughly, then scatter the seeds (possibly mixed with dry sand) evenly and lightly rake them in. Finally, press down with a board, hand, or roller. Pre-sowing and transplanting is also an option. The more space the plants have, the more side shoots they will develop and the taller the main stem will be. For cutting, it pays to sow or plant densely: many manageable inflorescences will develop. All varieties turn bronze to brown upon ripening (in autumn).
