A beautiful explosion of leaf colours! The plant first grows chocolate-brown (rather elongated) leaves, reaching a height of around 50-90 cm, before "igniting" into a tuft of bright red leaves at the top. The flower spikes are modestly present.
Its uses are surprisingly versatile: the leaves are edible (salads or spinach) and stay fresh in a vase for a long time, making them a nice addition to bouquets. For the garden, it's an easy grower, filler, and eye-catcher!
