Sowing method: April-June directly into the garden. First, rake the soil until fine, then spread the seeds evenly (possibly mixed with dry sand) and lightly rake them in. Finally, press down with a board, hand, or roller. Pre-sowing and transplanting is also possible. The more space between plants, the more side branches and the taller the main stem. For cutting, it pays to sow or plant densely: this results in many manageable inflorescences. All varieties turn bronze to brown when ripe (in autumn).
