AVAILABLE ALMOST YEAR-ROUND, SOME PERIODS NOT. The most unique clover we know. This Brazilian species is not only remarkably ornamental with its solid light violet leaves and sharply contrasting, light pink flowers, but also very tasty! I snack on the leaves everywhere I see them: delicious lime flavor, refreshingly tart yet a little sweet. Wonderful with almost all dishes! Grow the bulbs in a pot indoors or in pots or the garden outdoors, preferably in a slightly shaded spot. The leaves "sleep" at night and in dark weather. Overwinter frost-free! Koppert Cress markets the leaves under the protected name Yka Leaves. A logical piece of advice: use the Lime Leaf only as a garnish and flavoring, not as a main meal: just like rhubarb, too much acid is bad for the bones! (Overwinter frost-free)
