This white radish, called Rettich in German, is first and foremost a delicious root vegetable! Fresh, a little sweet, a little spicy: delicious in a salad or as a snack with a drink. Nowadays, growers have discovered our vegetable as "Tillage Radish", an ideal crop for better moisture drainage = drainage. So, do you have poorly draining soil? Then sow this radish in spring or summer and let the tubers grow nicely. After winter, the tubers will have died off, leaving deep holes, not to be confused with mouse holes. Full of humus and easy to work with for the next crop...!
Tip: sow all winter on a saucer with kitchen paper or a thin layer of potting soil, cut the young plants when they are 5 cm high: delicious Daikon cress.
