The stubble turnip was a very important fodder crop before 1950, but is now a small crop for the small farmer. In English-speaking countries, this crop is still highly valued. Sown before August 10th, it yields a harvest of nutritious turnips in autumn, which are popular with cows, sheep and goats... but: they are also very tasty for us as turnip in a stew!
‘Samson’ is tetraploid, semi-long, white with a lilac-blue top. Reasonably resistant to night frosts.
10 g is sufficient for 50-100 m²
