The most well-known perennial clover with rose-red flowers, blooming all summer. Height 60 cm. Let grow for a few months to 2 years. Deep roots. Sowing time March-August. This legume is capable of binding nitrogen from the air and storing it in its roots. When mown and worked into the soil, it becomes available to other plants. 100 g for 100 m2.
To avoid depleting your valuable soil, it is wise to leave it fallow occasionally. During such a period, green manure is ideal: it adds nutrients to the soil through often present nitrogen fixation; it suppresses weed growth, promotes bacterial life, provides humus, and in some cases, works against harmful nematodes.
