This annual clover is suitable for both cool and warm climates. However, overly wet soil and shade are not suitable. The beautiful, pointed leaf, symmetrically divided into three parts, resembles an arrowhead, hence the name... The plants bloom at 60-80 cm height with thick clusters of white and pink flowers, which are very popular with bees and butterflies! A nice clover for feeding animals (you can cut them several times), as green manure (introduces nitrogen into the soil) and attractive in field margin mixtures.
Farmers sow this clover for high-quality hay together with ryegrass (678220) or timothy grass (675300) at a dosage of 15 kg grass seed + 10 kg Arrowleaf Clover.
Dosage for large fields: 15-25 kg per ha.
Dosage for small fields: 100 g per 100 m².
To avoid depleting your valuable soil, it is wise to leave the land fallow occasionally. During such a period, green manure is ideal: it introduces nutrients into the soil through often present nitrogen fixation; it suppresses weed growth, promotes bacterial life, provides humus, and in some cases, acts against harmful nematodes.
