Revolutionary novelty! After years of selection and breeding, Denmark has succeeded in developing a non-spreading, small clover (Trifolium repens 'Pirouette') that possesses the same growth vigor as grass. This offers great advantages:
a. Clover extracts nitrogen from the air and provides it to the grass, significantly reducing the need for fertilization and keeping the lawn perpetually fresh green.
b. The combined lateral growth vigor further suppresses weeds, and the turf also retains moisture better.
c. Due to the fine clover leaf, the grass effect is maintained, and the field does not become slipperier. Sports fields are also laid with it.
Experiences are very positive in Great Britain and Belgium. In the Netherlands, for example, Vondelpark has been sown with it.
Mix a grass seed blend (for example: 40% Kentucky Bluegrass, 20% Creeping Red Fescue, and 35% Perennial Ryegrass) with ± 5% Microclover, so 33 g per 500 g of grass seed. Mix the clover well with the grass seed before sowing. After germination and growth, the clover will make up approximately 30% of the total. Overseeding is also possible; in that case, first scarify thoroughly and mix the clover with (plenty of) sand. Dosage mixed with grass: 33 grams of clover with 660 g of grass seed for 20-25 m²
For pure use: 33 grams for 10-15 m²
