An ideal green manure because the plants grow quickly and root deeply. 'Sparta' is late-flowering, fairly frost-resistant and clubroot-resistant. Don't let it grow too large for fodder, as young leaves are very palatable! Mowing in spring and composting is a convenient option for small gardens.
100g is for 50-100 m²
To avoid depleting your valuable soil, it is wise to let the land lie fallow occasionally. During such a period, green manure is ideal: it suppresses weed growth, promotes bacterial life, provides humus, and in some cases, helps control harmful nematodes.
