An interesting plant with a rich medicinal, but also poisonous history. PLEASE NOTE: THE PLANT IS EXTREMELY POISONOUS! Especially the berries should absolutely not be eaten. Atropine (one of the active ingredients) has a gland-inhibiting effect and dilates the pupils (making ladies more beautiful: bella donna).
Ointment made from this plant causes strange hallucinations, in short, don't just start working with it yourself. (more information on www. annetanne.be/kruiden/belladonna.html).
