Sowing method: March-October, directly in the desired location (pots or open ground) in nutritious soil. Fluctuating temperatures (not too extreme) stimulate germination. Light germination works best, so only press the seeds down and do not cover with soil; bright sun then works best. A solution of KNO3 (1% = 10 grams per liter) stimulates germination; soak the seeds for 24 hours in this solution (see 809082). The plant will self-seed later if the flowers are allowed to mature.
