A Mexican herb, which grows as an annual here. Like Cilantro, a "must" for Spanish and South American dishes in tacos, salsa, and sauces. We supply alternatingly the round-leaved or the narrow-leaved variety; the taste is the same. The leaf has a unique pungent aroma (leaning towards coriander and lemon, but much fuller) and is used fresh. The Aztecs used this herb even before Chinese cuisine popularized this aromatic herb in America. Google "chef and Papalo" to discover how this (very expensive to buy fresh) herb is used in dishes.
