A popular seasoning for sauces, stews, and soups, but also (in moderation) raw in salads. The taste of celery, complemented by unique aromas, characterizes this beautiful herb, which retains its flavor even after cooking. Named after Unilever's Maggi bottle, which, incidentally, doesn't even use this herb as an ingredient! The plants like to grow in the open ground or large pots, fertile soil, and plenty of sun and water. In these conditions, the perennial plant grows up to 2 m high. Besides the leaves, feel free to use the stems, roots, and seeds: everything from this plant adds flavor!

Sowing method: April-July, in seed trays: cover with a thin layer of soil. Optimal germination temperature 20°C. Cover the sown seeds with a (fleece) cloth to prevent drying out. Place in a cooler spot after emergence. Direct outdoor sowing in a seedbed is also possible during this period. Some seeds will germinate quickly; there is a long germination period for latecomers.
