Aromatic seeds are very popular in cooking and in cheese. Heat-loving plant. Cumin seeds are often confused with the very similar caraway seeds (also known as wild cumin), but they are not the same seeds: Cumin seeds are straight, caraway seeds are somewhat curved. Both cumin and caraway seeds have a warm, spicy, anise-like taste, but cumin seeds are milder in flavour, less pungent, and slightly more bitter than caraway seeds.
