Emperor's Mint

  • Product number: 347660
  • Origin: Southern Europe
  • Latin: Micromeria thymifolia

The new mint experience! An unknown herb from Northern Italy and (former) Yugoslavia with small, lobelia-like flowers: white or violet. Delicious in tea, with stewed dishes or roasts. Height 60cm. Wintering: dry spot or well-drained and no severe frost.

All mint varieties grow in the sun or in the shade. In the sun, the most compact growth and the most intense color, scent, and flavor develop. Each variety goes through 2 growth stages: in spring, there is the upward growth spurt for flowering. After that, horizontal (hard) growing runners emerge, which grow into new plants elsewhere. Bees and butterflies love mint flowers.

Names:
Latin: Micromeria thymifolia
