True Hop from seed! 50% male and 50% female plants will emerge. Let them grow together, the female plants will produce the famous decorative hop cones. Hops used to be dried and put into pillows to induce sleep, but you can also make a delicious soothing tea from them (possibly together with valerian root). Young hop shoots are a delicacy, raw or cooked! The yellow powder between the scales of the cones gives beer its colour and bitter taste.

Sowing method: February-June. The seeds germinate irregularly over a longer germination period. Therefore, do not discard the seedlings too quickly. First sow in a seed tray: 3 weeks at 20°C. Then 3 weeks in the refrigerator. Repeat this process until enough seedlings have germinated. If seeds germinate between October and March, keep them indoors after emergence, in a light and cool place (minimum 10°C). Prick out into pots.
