A marigold with a wonderfully fresh scent and taste, that is unique! The aniseed scent that the leaves of this plant spread is truly irresistible! The single flowers (late-blooming) are warm yellow, height 40-50cm. A few leaves in a salad have a special taste effect, but be careful, not everyone can tolerate uncooked Tagetes lucida. The Native Americans know of its hallucinogenic effect (from eating raw or smoking), which disappears when cooked or heated for tea.
