This perennial plant is native, but very rare (and protected) in our country. The plant blooms in whorls around the stem with beautiful lilac-pink flowers, which contain a lot of nectar and are therefore very popular with butterflies, bees and other insects. Height 40-50 cm.
The leaves and flowers are herbaceous flavor enhancers, fresh or dried, in dishes or raw in salads; you can also make a delicious herbal tea with them. The taste has notes of basil and thyme.
Sources mention that the plant has a good effect on digestion; we also read about wound treatment.
A brown and yellow dye is extracted from the leaves, making it a good dye plant.
