A delicious North African variety that can tolerate both cold and (very) hot temperatures! A taste sensation around the Mediterranean. Strangely enough, this successful variety has become quite rare in Northern Europe, but we're going to change that! The deep orange roots grow to 10 cm long, thrive in light or heavy soil. The taste is exceptionally good: sweet, juicy, and firm in texture.
On Dave's Garden website, we read:
This is one of the most delicious carrots I have ever eaten. I love carrots and have grown dozens of varieties, and let me tell you, this one ranks near the top. Fast growing, as I am picking these after 60 days of growth. The carrot is very crisp and very sweet. The flavor is unique and hard to describe. As you bite into these carrots, it leaves the impression that you just smelled a freshly zested lemon. That is the best way i can describe it. If you like carrots, do yourself a favor and try these, i don't think you will be disappointed. From other comments on the net, a reoccurring comment is, be sure to pick these at the proper time or they will become woody.
