Succulent, heart-shaped leaves with a slightly thicker texture. Use: raw in salads or briefly steamed like spinach and (common) purslane. Winter purslane originates from North-West America and has naturalized in large parts of Europe.
During mild winters, protection is not necessary, but winter production is better under glass. Sowing quantity: 1000 seeds (= ± 0.6 g) per linear meter, row spacing 30 cm. So approximately 2 g per m².
