Fast-growing variety with large, elongated leaves. This variety does not freeze quickly, especially if good protection by means of glass is provided in winter.
This traditional North Holland variety was also called "hare's ears" because of its long leaves. Very densely sown corn salad, harvested young (when the cotyledon is "stretched"), is a delicacy and is called "BROEIVET" (forced fat).
Hardy vegetable with a high vitamin C content.
