THIS VARIETY WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER 2024, KEEP AN EYE ON THE NEWSLETTER!
Planted early means harvestable early; despite its early harvest, this variety has good shelf life. The shallots are very cold-resistant; they can be planted from September to May, but planting in autumn or early winter is necessary for the desired early harvest. On wet clay, we recommend creating raised beds for natural drainage. Plant them 20 cm apart and they can be harvested from spring (as young, white onions) or from May-September with a brown skin. The result is a mild-tasting onion that can be stored from autumn into winter.
