From the Czech Republic (via the collection of New York grower Dr. Boris Andrst) comes this high-yielding spiral garlic. Often 10 cloves per bulb with a fantastic taste, even after cooking, what more could you want? Some colleagues wrongly offer this variety under the name 'Vekan'.
How delicious can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
