This Canadian variety combines a complex and robust flavour with very good shelf life and excellent adaptation to our northern climate. The bulbs and cloves are quite small, but all the more refined in taste: it starts out sharp to hot and quickly mellows.
How delicious can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
