One of the earliest garlics with a beautiful pink-white skin. For extra early results, harvest “fresh” (=unripe) garlic as early as May! For storage, of course, let the garlic grow until it is fully mature. Early varieties sprout earlier in winter and need good protection during severe frost (in harsh winters) if you want an early harvest. The taste of this variety is quite robust despite its rapid growth.
How delicious can also be beautiful.... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
