This Spanish top variety yields a large harvest in late July. Very popular in the land of tapas due to its good flavour, which is remarkably hot when eaten raw! The cloves are deep wine-red; this variety is known for its high allicin content (=healthy!)
How delicious can also be beautiful.... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in flavour than the so-called softneck varieties.
