This widely cultivated Polish variety is gaining popularity due to its robust, yet not too pungent flavor, which is well-preserved after cooking. The harvest is quite early, yet the bulbs store well. The grayish-white skin covers the cloves with a purplish-pink skin.
How delicious can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in flavor than the so-called softneck varieties.
