A true Purple Stripe, this one came into our possession via Sweden and Veenhuizen. We could not trace its further origin. The taste of this type is the most intense of the entire garlic family and is also the closest to wild garlic: robust, very aromatic, and a strong kick. Expect an average of 10 cloves per bulb and a very high yield!
How delicious can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally more robust in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
