This garlic originates from the Czech Republic and forms quite large plants. It is a hardneck with beautiful large bulbs and cloves that detach easily. The taste is pleasantly sharp, with good storability. We counted an average of 10 cloves per bulb and the harvest is very large!
Perhaps this variety originally comes from Kazakhstan, as the city of Taraz used to be called Dzjamboel...
How delicious can also be beautiful.... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
