Not much information can be found about this variety, it is quite possible that there has been a misspelling in the name... Dauvage has a nice full flavor. The cloves are easy to peel, a characteristic by which you recognize the Rocambole type! The beautiful inflorescence that resembles Serpent Garlic is also such a characteristic. We counted an average of 6 cloves per bulb, the yield increases as the summer is sunnier and warmer. Allow the plant to mature well and the bulbs to dry thoroughly to be able to store them.
How delicious can also be beautiful.... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
