This hardneck garlic originally comes from the Scandinavian gene bank NordGen. It is a large garlic with many cloves per bulb (10-12) and a very high yield. The taste is intense, quite hot and accessible enough for any garlic lover.
How tasty can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This flavorful member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in taste than the so-called softneck varieties.
