A unique Italian onion from a very old tradition! Its extremely flat-round shape makes this onion a striking appearance, delicious in salads, roasted or grilled whole, but also (traditionally) popular as a pickling onion. The taste is firm, quite hot with fine aromas and a sweet hint. Mature onions are 7.5-10 cm wide and 1-2 cm "high". The fully grown onions can be stored for a long time and are very beautiful when tied and braided together.

Sowing method: April-July. For onions, it is important that the soil is finely tilled, not too compact, and sufficiently moist. Create a furrow 2 cm deep, sprinkle a layer of potting soil mixed with your own soil into it. Moisten thoroughly. Then sow the seeds and cover the furrow with the same mixture. Moisten everything again thoroughly with a fine spray and, if desired, place a strip of old cloth over it. Adding an extra strip of sand is also done. Keep moist. After 2 weeks, the sand or cloth can be carefully removed.
