This is a very tasty and large Tomatillo! You can just hold 3 in one hand... The green fruits ripen to yellow and are then sweet and full of aroma!
Nice, easy-to-grow crop, originally known in Mexican cuisine. Suitable for all kinds of stir-fries. Cultivation is easy: sow indoors early (March) and plant out in a sheltered spot at the end of May. The plants grow 1-1.5 m high and prefer some support; the yield is about 30-40 fruits per plant. There is no risk of disease. The harvest can be expected from September until frost sets in. This annual plant should always be grown in pairs for pollination.
