Unique collection of 9 wild primordial tomatoes. This is true history on your plate: they have been eaten by American Indians for centuries! Most wild varieties are surprisingly resistant to potato blight; they probably have a natural resistance. Breeders regularly revert to these varieties.
The composition changes regularly; currently, the varieties are:
Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium ‘Bolivianische Obsttomate’
Lycopersicon cheesmanii Galapagos Tomato
Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium ‘Ribesoides’
Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium ‘Yellow Currant’
Lycopersicon esculentum ‘Columbianum’
Lycopersicon esculentum ‘Aurantiacum’
Lycopersicon esculentum ‘Pinkfarbene Wildtomate’
Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium ‘Microtomate Groseille’
Lycopersicon americanum
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example, in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant, and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The assortment of tomatoes we offer is enormous and numbers in the hundreds! In an effort to keep it all somewhat manageable for our customers, we create interesting collections of relevant themes. The varieties we use for this vary and sometimes do not even appear in our regular assortment (which we offer separately).
