Resistant Collection 6 Healthy Garden Varieties

  • Latin: Lycopersicon

Every year, varieties "emerge" that stand out for their high resistance to Phytophthora (potato blight), a fungal disease that can sometimes cause the entire tomato harvest to fail. Annually, we compile a collection of 6 healthy top performers. Some varieties are already part of our assortment, most are only found in this collection. We try to provide as much variety as possible, so you can grow tomatoes outdoors with confidence; growing them in a greenhouse is, of course, also good. Each variety is individually packed with a minimum of 15 seeds. Grown seriously using organic methods. We regularly adjust the packages because varieties may not have permanent resistance.

Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, making grafting advisable:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The assortment of tomatoes we offer is enormous, numbering in the hundreds! In an attempt to keep it all manageable for our customers, we create interesting collections based on relevant themes. The varieties we use for this vary and sometimes do not even appear in our regular assortment (which we offer separately).

Sowing method: March-May indoors. Transplant into pots when 5 cm tall. Place in very light conditions and harden off outdoors from April when weather permits. Do not plant out before the end of May. Tomato plants use a lot of water. Side shoots (suckers) must be regularly removed from indeterminate tomatoes; this is not necessary for determinate tomatoes. Planting distance 60-80 cm.
