A curiosity, this beautiful strongly ribbed, red to dark brownish-red beefsteak tomato! The plant likes a dry spot and grows healthily to a height of 1.7-2m. The flattened-round, large fruits can weigh over 200 grams! Unripe fruits ripen remarkably well after harvesting.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse or mini-greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant, and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
