A remarkably prolific variety with (mostly) heart-shaped fruits. The plants need support, remain remarkably healthy for a long time, and often yield a very good (and rather early!) harvest, even outdoors. It is striking that the plant produces little foliage, and therefore does not easily succumb to diseases. An abundance of flowers (fortunately) does not all lead to fruit set, that would be too much! In short: one of the few heart-shaped beefsteak tomatoes that usually does very well outdoors. Enjoy the full, sweet taste after harvesting!
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
