Still very popular, but over 100 years old, a French variety. A considerably large, firm beefsteak tomato. Performs remarkably well outdoors.
The taste is as it should be: mild and sweet. Also ideal for soup! Height 150 cm (outdoors) to
250 cm (greenhouse).
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
