Beefsteak tomato 'Olga's Biggest'

  • Product number: 295468
  • Origin: Siberia
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

As the name suggests: enormously large fruits, if you try hard (fruit thinning), a fruit of 1500 grams can be harvested! This variety comes from Siberia (Barnaul) and has a fantastic taste, as a beefsteak tomato should taste. The plants climb to about 2 meters in height.

Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
