This early-harvesting bush tomato grows to only 50 cm tall and also yields a very large harvest of mildly aromatic, sweet, and fragrant fruits! Due to its early nature, this tomato is not easily affected by Phytophthora (potato blight), which can irrevocably sicken tomatoes.
This historic variety originated in the Altai Mountains in Siberia and has been distributed worldwide among enthusiasts since 1995. The rather large, pink-red fruits weigh 150-300 g and are slightly elongated to heart-shaped. The fruits contain little juice and a lot of flesh.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger quantity of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
