This special tomato was released in 2016 by Wild Boar Farm and developed by Brad Gates. The medium to large fruits (100-300g) have a distinct heart shape with deep indentations ("crushed") and are deep red with beautiful purple anthocyanin stripes and splatters. As with all anthocyanin tomatoes, the more direct, unobstructed light received, the darker the color becomes. The taste is fantastic, with a lot of aroma and sufficient sweetness. In terms of size, this variety falls between a medium-sized and a beefsteak tomato.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato gets its name from the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
