Beefsteak tomato 'Brandywine Prudens Purple'

  • Product number: 295240
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum

This purple-pink variety has an almost heavenly taste, similar to the pink-red one (see 295250): juicy, sweet and aromatic. Weighing 300-500 g, it's a real whopper and... this variety ripens extra early.

Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse (or small greenhouse)? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
