How wonderful that growers like Burpee continue to build on taste champions! In this case, they've taken on the well-known heirloom tomato 'Brandywine'. Clever cross-breeding has led to a more uniform shape, improved disease resistance, increased yield, and a tidier growth habit. The taste, of course, has been preserved: a heavenly combination of a pleasant texture, many aromas, and sufficient sweet notes. The skin has also remained thin, which is pleasant to bite into... Tomato lovers: Brandy Boy is ready to be grown and adored by you!
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
